Man is, for the first time in earth history, a single species for all practical purposes dominant in every realm, commanding all resources and with the ability and means to extinguish vast numbers of other species and indeed much of biodiversity entirely and at will. Evolutionary Humanist hold that man is the most important evolutionary force in nature at the present time, and will guide the future of evolution consciously or not.
but......
Man (and woman) need to have a little fun too!
So.......
In latter part of the winter months of the year 2001,
a select group of "professionals" met in the airport Customs line in Panama
City to begin an adventure of .... well perhaps not epic proportions, but certainly
epic memories were in store here.... So we met for the first leg of what became a
long first night of travel to reach the shores of El Morro Negrito Surf Camp.
Actually, the trip began more than 9 months previous with a protracted series of
emails, phone calls and arrangements made by our fearless leader Dr. Peter Davis.
Peter made all arrangements with the camp owners and suggested airlines, flight plans,
and equipment to bring. He did a lot more to ensure that the trip would be a success,
but suffice to say he was stellar in his capacity.
Anyway......
Here are my Journal notes and some images collected for each day of the "expedition"...

Journals of a long lost surfer... too long away from the sport, but still loving
every chance.
The following journal entries come from the personal log of Scott M. Graves while
on a trip to Chiriqui, Panama, El Morro Negrito Surf Camp: February 2001.
A select sampling of the daily images together with my journal entries....
